Expert coaching doesn't have to mean training alone. Our Small Group Personal Training sessions cap at four people per coach, so you still get proper, hands-on coaching, just alongside a few familiar faces who'll help keep you accountable.
Programmes rotate every six weeks with two focus lifts (think Squats and Deadlifts one block, Hip Thrusts and Press the next). All sessions are tracked and introduced on the studio board so it's personal to you, even in a Small Group setting.
It's become a firm favourite with people who've felt overlooked in big commercial gyms, particularly parents fitting training around the school run and work and anyone who wants high-end coaching without training completely on their own. The programme is built for anyone who wants to feel stronger, more confident, and better supported in their training.
For anyone who wants expert coaching, a little social accountability, and a training environment that feels more personal, welcoming and supportive than a big commercial gym.
Small group training exists for a specific type of person: someone who wants proper coaching but finds training alone joyless, and who has been let down by big-gym classes where thirty people follow the same instructions regardless of ability. Capping sessions at four per coach is what makes the difference. It is small enough for hands-on correction, large enough for accountability.
Each block centres on two focus lifts. One rotation might build squats and deadlifts, the next hip thrusts and pressing. Accessory work supports those lifts, and your numbers go on the studio board so you can see the trend rather than guess at it. Six weeks is long enough to make measurable progress and short enough that boredom never arrives.
Two people in the same session can be lifting different loads, using different variations and working to different rep targets. The structure is shared; the prescription is yours. If your shoulder objects to overhead pressing, you get an alternative, not a shrug.
Morning slots run straight after the school run and evening slots after work, which is why Small Group has become a favourite with busy parents across Redditch and Bromsgrove. Spaces are genuinely limited by the four-person cap, so it’s worth asking early.
The consistent theme is confidence. People who were nervous about the weights area now train comfortably, understand why they’re doing each exercise, and turn up because they’d rather not let the other three down. Nutrition and food planning support is included, the same as our one-to-one programmes.
Kalvin's a great PT! Thoroughly enjoyed my sessions with him, he's confident and knowledgeable and makes the sessions so enjoyable! Really appreciated it and would recommend him and the Seal PTs.
I had two brilliant sessions with Kalvin! I felt 20 years younger afterwards. He taught me lots of exercises for specific muscles and was extremely attentive to my care and progress. I recommended him to my husband and would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you Kalvin.
I have been training with Seal training for 5 years. Ali and his team really know their stuff. Would definitely recommend.

A maximum of four people per coach. That’s a deliberate cap: it’s small enough that your form still gets corrected and your programme still gets adjusted, but you’re not training on your own.
Groups are made up of people training at a similar level and at similar times. A lot of our Small Group members are parents fitting sessions around the school run, and many have come to us after feeling overlooked in big commercial gyms.
Our current Small Groups happen to be mostly women, but the programme is built for anyone.
No. Every exercise is coached and scaled to you. If you’ve never picked up a barbell, you’ll be taught how to properly rather than left to copy the person next to you.
Programmes rotate every six weeks around two focus lifts, so one block might centre on squats and deadlifts and the next on hip thrusts. Your numbers are tracked on the studio board, which means progress is visible and the plan stays personal to you even inside a group.
Mornings, which work well straight after the school run, and evenings after work. Get in touch for current availability, as spaces are limited by the four-person cap.
Less per session than one-to-one, which is a large part of the appeal. We’ll give you exact figures at your free consultation.
